Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work The water jump by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin for GBP 562.50 (€ 680.10). This price was achieved in the auction A Sporting Garland: Works by Cecil Aldin at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
