Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Star Inn, Alfriston, Sussex by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,347.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Star Inn, Alfriston, Sussex von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin kam im März 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.347,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
