Auction result well in line with expectations

The work The goose girl by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin was sold in the A Sporting Garland: Works by Cecil Aldin auction at Christies in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,057.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
