Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Greeting the guests in the courtyard by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,617.53) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greeting the guests in the courtyard von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.617,53) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.190,63).
