Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Helix by Ceal Floyer. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,585.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ceal Floyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ink on Paper in September last year with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 33,486.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Helix von Ceal Floyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.585,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ceal Floyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ink on Paper im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 33.486,66).
