Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work Orango Tango by Carsten Höller. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 31,172.33). Admittedly, works by Carsten Höller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hippopotamus in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 130,374.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orango Tango von Carsten Höller zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 26.250,00 (€ 31.172,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carsten Höller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hippopotamus im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 130.374,66).
