In November 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Waterskier by Carole Feuerman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,795.73), 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carole Feuerman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mona Lisa in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 69,290.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waterskier von Carole Feuerman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.795,73) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carole Feuerman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mona Lisa im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 69.290,47).
