In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Brooke With Beach Ball by Carole Feuerman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,474.04), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carole Feuerman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mona Lisa in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 69,290.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brooke With Beach Ball von Carole Feuerman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.474,04) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carole Feuerman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mona Lisa im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 69.290,47).
