Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Martha Rosler Collage) by Carol Bove for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,799.78). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carol Bove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Lovers in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 308,000.00 (€ 265,014.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Martha Rosler Collage) von Carol Bove für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.799,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carol Bove erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young Lovers im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 308.000,00 (€ 265.014,63).
