Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vecchio pescatore by Carmine Ciardiello was auctioned at Christies in Rome in December 2003. It achieved a price of EUR 1,612.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24 %. Admittedly, works by Carmine Ciardiello have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marina Grande A Capri in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 9,187.50.

Die Arbeit Vecchio pescatore von Carmine Ciardiello kam im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.612,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carmine Ciardiello auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marina Grande A Capri im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.187,50.
