Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Giovane popolana by Carmine Ciardiello. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,400.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,240.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carmine Ciardiello have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marina Grande A Capri in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 9,187.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Giovane popolana von Carmine Ciardiello zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.240,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carmine Ciardiello auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marina Grande A Capri im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.187,50.
