The work Blanco Absoluto by Carlos Mérida was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. It achieved a price of USD 113,400.00 (€ 92,996.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Mérida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Pequeño Venado, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 212,500.00 (€ 190,600.05).

Die Arbeit Blanco Absoluto von Carlos Mérida kam im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 92.996,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Mérida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Pequeño Venado beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 212.500,00 (€ 190.600,05) versteigert wurde.
