Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Untitled (Echo Park) by Carlos Almaráz. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,328.00 (€ 2,908.58). Admittedly, works by Carlos Almaráz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset Beach, 1983 in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,442.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Echo Park) von Carlos Almaráz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.328,00 (€ 2.908,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Almaráz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset Beach, 1983 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.442,99).
