Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Carlos Alfonzo for USD 28,125.00 (€ 21,617.99). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Alfonzo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Seeds in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 313,929.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carlos Alfonzo für USD 28.125,00 (€ 21.617,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Alfonzo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Seeds im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 313.929,50).
