Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Milan held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work L'Apparizione di Lourdes, 1858 by Carlo Maria Mariani. The price achieved of EUR 24,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Maria Mariani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Orfeo, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 66,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Apparizione di Lourdes, 1858 von Carlo Maria Mariani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 24.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Maria Mariani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Orfeo beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 66.250,00 versteigert wurde.
