In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work A Roman tomb on the Via Appia near Bovillae by Carlo Labruzzi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,036.50), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlo Labruzzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Temple of Minerva, Rome; and The Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the via Appia in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 55,985.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Roman tomb on the Via Appia near Bovillae von Carlo Labruzzi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.036,50) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Labruzzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Temple of Minerva, Rome; and The Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the via Appia im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 55.985,68).
