Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carlo Labruzzi could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 auction, the work The so-called Temple of Venus at Baiae, with a boat and two fishermen in the foreground changed hands for GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,805.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Labruzzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Temple of Minerva, Rome; and The Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the via Appia in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 55,985.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlo Labruzzi konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 wechselte die Arbeit The so-called Temple of Venus at Baiae, with a boat and two fishermen in the foreground für GBP 1.512,00 (€ 1.805,60) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Labruzzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Temple of Minerva, Rome; and The Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the via Appia im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 55.985,68).
