Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Washerwomen and other figures in a landscape with a tower near Castel Gandolfo by Carlo Labruzzi was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,101.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Labruzzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Temple of Minerva, Rome; and The Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the via Appia in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 55,985.68).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Temple of Minerva, Rome; and The Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the via Appia im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 46.850,00 (€ 55.985,68).
