Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2005 Christies in Paris held the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXE SIECLE, which included the work Une allégorie de la Charité appuyée sur une colonne by Carlo Cignani. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,680.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Cignani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory of the Five Senses in January last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 292,186.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU XIXE SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Une allégorie de la Charité appuyée sur une colonne von Carlo Cignani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.680,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Cignani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Allegory of the Five Senses im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 292.186,94).
