The work The Holy Family with Jesus eating a cherry by Carlo Cignani was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,014.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Cignani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory of the Five Senses in January last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 292,186.94).
