Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Madonna And Child by Carlo Cignani for USD 92,500.00 (€ 70,724.06). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carlo Cignani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory of the Five Senses in January last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 292,186.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Madonna And Child von Carlo Cignani für USD 92.500,00 (€ 70.724,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Cignani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory of the Five Senses im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 292.186,94).
