This artwork by Carlo Alberto Baratta achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July last year. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper auction, the work Recto: The Death of Hector Verso: Two Battling Figures with Shields and Swords sold for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,532.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carlo Alberto Baratta; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Study for the Presentation of the Virgin sold at auction in January 2021 with the realized price of USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,459.83).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlo Alberto Baratta erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Recto: The Death of Hector Verso: Two Battling Figures with Shields and Swords für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.532,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00.
