Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work Hercules And Deianira With The Centaur Nessus by Carlo Alberto Baratta. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,998.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Carlo Alberto Baratta have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2021 the work Study for the Presentation of the Virgin was auctioned for USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,459.83).

Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hercules And Deianira With The Centaur Nessus von Carlo Alberto Baratta zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.998,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
