Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2001 Christies in New York held the auction OLD MASTER DRAWINGS, which included the work The Adoration of the Magi by Carlo Alberto Baratta. The price achieved of USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,301.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Alberto Baratta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study for the Presentation of the Virgin, which sold at auction in January 2021 for USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,459.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion OLD MASTER DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration of the Magi von Carlo Alberto Baratta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.935,00 (€ 5.301,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Alberto Baratta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study for the Presentation of the Virgin beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.459,83) versteigert wurde.
