Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Road to the mountains, Rock Outcrop, and Native American peering over a ledge (a group of three) by Carl Oscar Borg for USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,351.83). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Oscar Borg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching The Race in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20).
