The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,998.50), 33% above the upper estimate. Other works by Carl Kauba have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 46,875.00 (€ 33,289.54) in September 2008 for the work Indian Chief.
