Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th & 20th Century Sculpture, which included the work Death as a Skeleton by Carl Kauba. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,388.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Kauba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Chief in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 33,289.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th & 20th Century Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Death as a Skeleton von Carl Kauba zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.388,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Kauba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Chief im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 33.289,54).
