Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Indian Chief on Horseback by Carl Kauba was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,420.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Kauba achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Chief in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 33,289.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Indian Chief on Horseback von Carl Kauba wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.420,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Kauba erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Chief im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 33.289,54).
