In July 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Untitled (Warrior Chief) by Carl Kauba. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,582.62), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carl Kauba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Chief in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 46,875.00 (€ 33,289.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Warrior Chief) von Carl Kauba zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.582,62) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Kauba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Chief im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 33.289,54).
