Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred Buckham could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work 'Lincoln', C. 1925 changed hands for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,720.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Alfred Buckham have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2008 by the work 'Westminster, Shewing The Houses Of Parliament And Westminster Abbey', C. 1925 at GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,778.36).
