Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 'Durham, Storm Breaking', C. 1925 by Alfred Buckham was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,720.42). Other works by Alfred Buckham have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2008 by the work 'Westminster, Shewing The Houses Of Parliament And Westminster Abbey', C. 1925 at GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,778.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 'Durham, Storm Breaking', C. 1925 von Alfred Buckham im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
