In June 2018 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work La fortune by Camille Claudel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 728,750.00 (€ 823,611.69), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Camille Claudel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Valse, Première Version in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,122,500.00 (€ 5,978,874.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La fortune von Camille Claudel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 728.750,00 (€ 823.611,69) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Camille Claudel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Valse, Première Version im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.500,00 (€ 5.978.874,90).
