Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 34,020.00 (€ 32,955.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Callum Innes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exposed Painting Charcoal Black Violet Red Oxide, which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,547.91).

Die Arbeit Exposed Painting Vine Black von Callum Innes wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 34.020,00 (€ 32.955,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00.
