Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Exposed Painting, Olive Green by Callum Innes. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,280.00 (€ 30,043.43), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Callum Innes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Exposed Painting Charcoal Black Violet Red Oxide, which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,547.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Exposed Painting, Olive Green von Callum Innes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 30.043,43) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Callum Innes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Exposed Painting Charcoal Black Violet Red Oxide beobachtet, die im November 2018 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.547,91) versteigert wurde.
