Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape / Chan by C. C. Wang was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,066.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by C. C. Wang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lantern Festival in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,239.07).
