Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by C. C. Wang was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,213.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by C. C. Wang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lantern Festival, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,239.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von C. C. Wang wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.213,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von C. C. Wang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lantern Festival beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.239,07) versteigert wurde.
