This artwork by Byron Browne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Africana, 1950-1951 sold for GBP 15,250.00 (€ 17,035.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Byron Browne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Classical Still Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 143,513.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Byron Browne erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Africana, 1950-1951 für GBP 15.250,00 (€ 17.035,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Byron Browne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Classical Still Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 143.513,20).
