Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction An American Summer, which included the work Cyclorama by Byron Browne. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,186.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Byron Browne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Classical Still Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 143,513.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An American Summer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cyclorama von Byron Browne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.186,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Byron Browne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Classical Still Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 143.513,20).
