Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Women by But Mochtar was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,840.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 260,000.00 – 450,000.00. Admittedly, works by But Mochtar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Patung Elemen Estetik (Study Of Esthetic Principles) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Women von But Mochtar kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 39.840,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 260.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von But Mochtar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Patung Elemen Estetik (Study Of Esthetic Principles) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
