Auction result well in line with expectations
The work SELF PORTRAIT by But Mochtar was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,708.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by But Mochtar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Patung Elemen Estetik (Study Of Esthetic Principles) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit SELF PORTRAIT von But Mochtar kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 13.708,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von But Mochtar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Patung Elemen Estetik (Study Of Esthetic Principles) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
