Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Crescendo by Bryan Hunt was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,908.49). Admittedly, works by Bryan Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pangaea II in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 52,808.99).
