Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Erukperu by Bruce Onobrakpeya was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,468.30). Admittedly, works by Bruce Onobrakpeya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zaria Indigo in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 81,325.00 (€ 69,401.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Erukperu von Bruce Onobrakpeya kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.468,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce Onobrakpeya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zaria Indigo im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.325,00 (€ 69.401,78).
