Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Woodland Landscape by Bruce Crane. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,047.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bruce Crane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After the Rain in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woodland Landscape von Bruce Crane zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.047,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce Crane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After the Rain im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35).
