Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Springtime, Long Island by Bruce Crane. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,349.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bruce Crane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work After the Rain, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Springtime, Long Island von Bruce Crane zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.349,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bruce Crane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit After the Rain beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35) versteigert wurde.
