In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Mellow Autumn by Bruce Crane. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,102.27), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Bruce Crane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After the Rain in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mellow Autumn von Bruce Crane zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.102,27) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce Crane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After the Rain im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35).
