Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Grey Fields by Bruce Crane for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,565.75). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Bruce Crane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After the Rain in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 32,521.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Grey Fields von Bruce Crane für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.565,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bruce Crane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After the Rain im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 32.521,35).
