Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aladdin Sane, 1973 by Brian Duffy was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2016. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,857.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Duffy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David Bowie, "Aladdin Sane" (Eyes Open), which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 47,812.50 (€ 41,388.94).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.857,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
