Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale Session I, which included the work Alignment #9 by Brent Wadden. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,479.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brent Wadden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alignment (13), which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 172,723.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale Session I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alignment #9 von Brent Wadden zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.479,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Brent Wadden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alignment (13) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 172.723,46) versteigert wurde.
