Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bonhams in Skinner Boston held the auction Prints & Photographs, which included the work South Crillon Glacier and Canoe by Bradford Washburn. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,566.16), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bradford Washburn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset at 41,000 Feet, Mount McKinley, Alaska, which sold at auction in January 2024 for USD 4,352.00 (€ 3,803.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Skinner Boston die Auktion Prints & Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit South Crillon Glacier and Canoe von Bradford Washburn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.566,16) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bradford Washburn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset at 41,000 Feet, Mount McKinley, Alaska beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für USD 4.352,00 (€ 3.803,53) versteigert wurde.
