This artwork by Bradford Washburn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in January this year. In the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work After the Storm - On the Doldenhorn sold for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,522.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bradford Washburn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunset at 41,000 Feet, Mount McKinley, Alaska sold at auction in January 2024 with the realized price of USD 4,352.00 (€ 3,803.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bradford Washburn erzielte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner wurde die Arbeit After the Storm - On the Doldenhorn für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.522,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bradford Washburn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sunset at 41,000 Feet, Mount McKinley, Alaska im Januar 2024 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 4.352,00 (€ 3.803,53).
